Lumut Jetty Terminal or also known as Terminal Jeti Lumut (Malay) is a famous gateway for tourists to get to Pangkor Island (Pulau Pangkor), one of the most beautiful islands in Peninsular Malaysia. Lumut Jetty Terminal is strategically situated at the banks of Manjung River, the main passenger terminal for ferries traveling from Lumut to Pangkor Island.

Lumut Jetty Terminal serves as a jetty plaza that is occupied with a handful of facilities that are provided for public use. This jetty is also situated beside Lumut Waterfront, which is equipped with several other facilities, including a children’s playground, souvenir shops, public toilets, and a walkway by the seaside. Travelers can stroll around the area before departure.

The ferry journey takes about 30-45 minutes depending on sea conditions, the ferry will have a brief stop on the way at Sungai Pinang Kecil (SPK) which is a fishing village on Pangkor frequented mostly by locals. There is nice scenery along the way and you will see colorful fishing boats and houses built on stilts on the waterfront.

There is a multi-story car park a short distance from the terminal.

Marina Island Pangkor, a private island, a gateway to Pangkor Island (Pulau Pangkor).  The only shortest way to travel to Pangkor Island (Pulau Pangkor)  is from Marina Island Jetty Complex (Kompleks Jeti Marina Island). Marina Island Jetty Terminal to Pangkor Island is a 10 – 15 minutes ferry ride away from Pangkor Island.

Kuala Lumpur TBS to Lumut Jetty Terminal

The bus is the most suitable public transportation to reach Lumut from Kuala Lumpur. the reason is the lack of other public transportation options like trains and flights. For those who are going to Pangkor Island (Pulau Pangkor), taking the bus from KL to Lumut is the most convenient option because the Lumut bus station is just right opposite the Lumut jetty. Upon arrival, passengers could just cross the road to transfer the ferry to Pangkor Island.
