Pangkor Island, more or less, is similar to those islands in Peninsular Malaysia, where seafood is the main food for local people due to the rapid development of the fishery industry. Seawater fish, crab, shrimp and selfish could be found easily on Pangkor Island (Pulau Pangkor). Seafood restaurants are located everywhere. The Chinese seafood restaurant is located around the town of Pasir Bagok, and the Malay Seafood restaurant is mainly situated around Telek Nipah, especial at the Food Street Teluk Nipah. There are a lot of Malay restaurants and hawker food stalls around the food street.
